Data controller
Harry Edwards, trading as Harry Edwards Psychotherapy.
How to contact me about privacy
Email h.edwardstherapy@gmail.com and mark your message "Privacy".
What I collect through this website
Through the enquiry form I collect: your name, email address, session preference (Edinburgh, online or either), broad availability, and any short message you choose to include. I also record the referring website, any UTM parameters from the URL, and a timestamp alongside your enquiry.
Why I process it
Processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (which you give by ticking the consent box), and on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to your enquiry, providing psychotherapy where appropriate, and running the practice.
Special-category data
Please do not include detailed clinical or mental-health information in an initial enquiry. Where such information is later shared as part of psychotherapy, it is treated with the confidentiality standards required of a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Member MBACP.
Storage, security and retention
Enquiries submitted through the website are stored securely in a database hosted on Supabase infrastructure within the European Union. Access is restricted to Harry. Enquiries that do not proceed to therapy are retained for up to twelve months and then deleted. Records that become part of a therapeutic relationship are kept in line with UKCP and MBACP professional guidance.
Email processing
Emails sent to h.edwardstherapy@gmail.com are processed and stored by Google (Gmail). Please keep initial emails brief.

These providers act as processors on Harry's behalf.
International transfers
Some processing may take place outside the UK. Where that is the case, appropriate safeguards under UK GDPR apply.
Your rights
